Meet Your Host: Janet Moreira

Janet Moreira, Esq. is the host of Babes Balls & Brands and a leading voice in the intersection of sports law, branding, and youth athletics. As a Board Certified Intellectual Property attorney and Partner at Caldera Law, Janet has spent over two decades helping athletes, influencers, entertainers, and major brands navigate complex endorsement deals, NIL agreements, licensing collaborations, and brand partnerships.

Janet's unique perspective comes from living both sides of the sports world: representing high-profile clients in multimillion-dollar brand deals while simultaneously navigating the recruiting and NIL landscape as the mother of two competitive athletes. Her oldest son is a nationally recognized high school football player with multiple Division I scholarship offers, giving her firsthand insight into the pressures and opportunities facing today's young athletes and their families.

A graduate of Franklin Pierce Law Center (now University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law), one of the nation's top intellectual property law schools, Janet has been recognized as a Super Lawyer for six consecutive years—an honor awarded to only 5% of attorneys nationwide. She currently serves her third non-consecutive term on the Florida Bar's Intellectual Property Certification Committee and has been a Florida Bar Certified Expert in Intellectual Property since 2008.

Janet's expertise in NIL and athlete representation has made her a sought-after commentator on the evolving landscape of college sports compensation. She has been featured in Bloomberg Law, NIL Wire, and Authority Magazine, offering insights on everything from federal NIL legislation to the risks facing young athletes in unregulated collective deals.

When she's not breaking down contracts or cheering from the sidelines, Janet is building the next generation of athlete-entrepreneurs through practical advice that cuts through the noise.
